She Buys Travel

A travel publication written for the woman who plans the trip, books it and takes it — since 2006.

Twenty years, one premise

Kim Orlando launched TravelingMom.com in 2006 with a simple observation: the person organizing the family vacation was reading a lot of travel content that wasn't written for her. The site answered that gap with first-hand reporting — writers who had actually taken the trip, stayed in the hotel and packed the car.

Over the following seventeen years TravelingMom grew into a national network of contributing travel journalists and a deep library of family and kid-friendly destination coverage.

On April 24, 2023, the publication was renamed She Buys Travel. The change widened the audience rather than replacing it: alongside family travel, the site now covers solo trips, girls' getaways, wellness travel and the road-trip and cruise planning that women handle at every stage of life.

The publication is operated by SHEBUYSTRAVEL LLC, formed in Delaware in February 2023, and Kim continues to lead it as founder, publisher and CEO.
